Pocket Watch of the Reborn Fisherman

In 2003, Lin Haisheng, a fisherman from Qingshi Port, was driven to jump into the sea after his business partner embezzled an 800,000-yuan loan. He was reborn on the very day creditors came knocking. With an old bronze pocket watch system that can detect seafood catches, he started beach foraging. Together with his childhood friends and fellow workers, he quickly earned his first fortune by selling premium seafood. Step by step, he bought fishing boats, set up a cooperative and built an ocean ranch. Eventually, he lifted the whole village out of poverty, cleared his late brother’s name, and turned Qingshi Port into a national model village for rural revitalization.
